Martisha Kanard-Dwyer, LSW
I am a licensed mental health counselor, ordained clergywoman, military veteran, spouse, and mother. These lived roles shape how I listen, understand struggle, and walk with people through change. Even capable, high-functioning adults can feel stretched, stuck, or quietly overwhelmed. I provide a safe, collaborative space to be fully seen, process stress, grief, or life transitions, and build clarity, practical skills, and resilience. Together, we’ll create steadiness, purpose, and hope. I help adults feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or stretched by responsibility. Using trauma-informed, skill-based therapy, I support emotional regulation, clarity, and aligned decision-making. Faith integration is available when desired, always with respect. My background includes chaplaincy and work with military and civilian families navigating addiction, grief, parenting stress, and complex family systems. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and skill-based to support emotional regulation, clarity, and growth. I don’t believe people are broken—many are overwhelmed.
